Hiroshima Andersen opened on the Hondōri Main Street in Hiroshima in 1967. This flagship store of the Andersen Group embodies the aspiration of our founder Shunsuke Takaki of “Bringing Joy and Happiness to Our Customers’ Tables”. Since its inception we have provided a wide variety of culinary suggestions to enrich the lives of people through bread.

“Andersen” are retail chain shops expanding nationwide. As a bakery rooted in community, we offer a wide variety of authentic European breads in a pleasant cozy setting.

The heart is the most popular motif in Denmark, and the Danish Heart is a heart-shaped pastry made from Andersen’s signature Danish pastry dough. We conscientiously bake each and every one of our Danish Hearts at the shop and serve them fresh.

Through bread, we convey the spirit of cherishing bread and the joy of making bread as well as the creation of an exquisite dining ambience that enhances our appreciation of nature’s wonders. Bread can tell its own unique story as evident from the experience of the entire process of bread making fostered by the “Andersen Geihoku 100-year farm.”

The Takaki Bakery produces Variety Breads at the factory which replicate traditional European artisanship, such as stone oven baked bread, and distributes them to retail stores including supermarkets. In addition, we also supply restaurants and cafés nationwide by utilizing our unique freezing technology.

“My Luxe Time” … The Mermaid Café is a café and bakery that offers a bit of personal luxury time along with a variety of original drinks and freshly baked bread in our stylish Scandinavian shop.

The Danish Bar brings the exquisite taste of “always freshly baked” Danish pastries to your community. By installing a compact oven in a small shop and refining the manufacturing process, we always provide freshly baked products.

Jean-Paul Hévin is a top world class French confectioner and chocolatier who has received many awards, including those from various international competitions and the Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF). We seek to offer new discoveries and pleasures through Jean-Paul Hévin’s philosophy, “Chocolat creates happiness.”

We have expanded two brand establishments in the Kyushu region, centered primarily on the premises of Japan Railway stations: “TRAIN D’OR” (“Golden Train” in French) and “GRAIN D’OR” (“Golden Grain” in French).
